The very first thing we have to think about for an overnight trip is where to stay in Tagaytay. We are a practical bunch, we figured we won’t be needing any fancy hotel since we won’t be spending most of our time inside the hotel room. So I went to TripAdvisor and read the Tagaytay hotel reviews and compare hotel prices. I saw just one review (and a positive one at that) to this room for rent near Picnic Grove and it’s really affordable. :cheer: I read in one blog that they also have a room with a bathtub, A bathtub for a cheap room? We’re sold! We called for a reservation 2 weeks before our planned vacation. Agnes, the lady who answered our call said she will pencil book the room with the bathtub and will call us again to confirm the reservation on a much closer date, which she did, plus points for customer service.
Keni Po Rooms is easy to spot, what with it’s clear signage and bright yellow paint on the building. They have a wide parking space and is equipped with a CCTV camera.
Checking in was a breeze. Agnes welcomed us in the reception area with a warm smile, we told her that we have a reservation and we just paid for our room for 2 nights then she gave us our keys. One of the staff was there to assist us with our things.
Our room was located on the second floor. We have a balcony that have the view of the garden and a private bathroom with hot and cold shower. Oh and don’t forget the bathtub! 😀

The Twin Sharing Room is quite small and is really simple. It doesn’t have any cute bedroom accessories from The White Company but it’s clean, has air-conditioning, cable TV, DVD player, hair dryer, and hot and cold shower. Towels and some toiletries are also provided. There are also snacks and drinks available (at an affordable price) in the mini-refrigerator in case you forgot to bring your own snacks. And free Wi-Fi in rooms too! Just ask for the password in the reception area.
Twin Sharing Room comes with a double bed and is only Php 1200 on Mondays-Thursdays nights and Php 1500 from Fridays-Sundays nights. Breakfast is not included with the room fee but they offer 24 hours room service. But with all the restaurants and diners around Tagaytay, why would you eat room service food? 😉 Though we ordered their hot chocolate in the morning before going out and it’s really good.
The only bad thing that I could think of about Keni Po is that they don’t have a closet. But regardless, we will definitely come back to this place.
Keni Po Rooms is located along Tagaytay-Calamba Road, beside Ina ng Laging Saklolo church. It is on the left side of road if you are coming from Sta. Rosa – Tagaytay Road going to Picnic Grove.
